Welcome in August, our new pastor, Paul Guffey. Paul and Jennifer relocated to Colorado Springs from Montgomery, Alabama, in November 2024.
 

Paul is an elder in the Global Methodist Church. He served for many years as the senior pastor of Cornersville UMC in Middle Tennessee. Most recently, he was the Director of Men’s Ministry at Frazer Church in Montgomery, Alabama.
 

Paul earned his Bachelor’s degree in Management from Trevecca University in Nashville, TN, and his Master’s degree in Theology from Williamson Christian College in Franklin, TN. He was ordained into the Gospel ministry in 1997 while serving on staff at First Baptist Church of Oviedo, Florida. As a community volunteer, Paul serves as a Chaplain with the Colorado Springs Police Department.
 

Jenny has worked with several national corporations, including Walmart and Home Depot. She is currently the Regional Director for Dollar General, overseeing Colorado and surrounding states.
 

Paul and Jenny have a blended family that includes seven children and five grandchildren. Their adult children are spread across the country, from Los Angeles to North Carolina. They make their home in the Briargate area of Colorado Springs.
 

Both Paul and Jenny grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, immersed in the rich Cajun culture of the Deep South. They are excited to be in Colorado and thank God for the opportunity to join the Westside Church family!
